MOmentum's Yoga Studio Space

Momentum’s yoga room is a great place to increase your strength and flexibility. With 750 square feet, we offer a variety of yoga classes and a pilates class. Yoga and pilates help climbers (and non-climbers) to avoid injury, increase core strength, bring calmness to their lives, and increase overall physical and mental health.

Why are Yoga and Climbing a good match?

There are some essential similarities between yoga and climbing that make the two inseparable. With both, we find ourselves developing a certain level of awareness of our bodies ; we begin to understand the importance of breath control; we become mentally strong; we also enhance our physical performance.

Since we all have different bodies, and specific individual needs, we offter a few different yoga and pilates methods. These descriptions will help you decide which class may fit you best:

Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow classes
Combines breath and movement to increase strength, flexibility and balance. These classes are great for people who like a faster pace.

Sahaj Yoga
Combines deep postures with breathing and movement to increase flexibility, strength and balance. This is a great class to take to understand the postures and how to align yourself.

Pilates
Focuses on core postural muscles which helps to balance the body and provide support for the spine. Pilates focuses on breath and movement while maintaining alignment.

Yoga with Christine

Blend of vinyasa yoga and pilates personalized for you.

Yoga with Ashley

Ashtanga vinyasa flow that combines breath and movement for increase flexibility.

Yoga with Dawn

Sahaj Yoga-Focusing on deep postures and breathing as well as being in the postures properly.

Yoga with Debi

On Thursday and Friday Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow that combines breath and movement to increase flexibility.

Yoga with Chelsey

On Wednesday Night Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga Blend Concentrating on proper form and breath to improve strength and flexibility.

Pilates with Molly

Designed to increase strength and endurance.
