How do I register for Divisionals?

Divisionals is a USA Climbing sanctioned competition. Climbers who competed at a Regional Competition and have qualified for Divisionals will have received an invitation from USA Climbing. Please visit the USA Climbing webpage to register. Please note that Momentum is not able to confirm your registration status; please contact USA Climbing directly.

How can I fill out a waiver before I visit the gym?

Every person that enters the the gym must have a liability waiver on file at Momentum. Climbers, coaches, even spectating parents. Online waivers are quick and easy to submit. Please Click Here and follow the prompts to complete an online waiver.

If you have been to Momentum in the past 12 months, we may still have you wavier on file. Please call the front desk at (801) 990-6890 and ask a staff member to check the status of your waiver.

When & where is Competitor Check In?

Competitor Check In will take place at Momentum on Friday, June 14th from 5pm to 9pm.

What is the competition schedule?

Preliminary schedules for Divisionals can be viewed using the links below. We anticipate that Finals will start at Noon on Sunday.

How do I get to Momentum?

Momentum is located just off of I-15 in Sandy, UT. Whether you come from the north or south; take the 10600 South exit and head east. Turn left at the first traffic light; you will find yourself driving straight into the Southtowne Mall complex. The road will stop shortly their after and you will have to turn left or right. Choose left (west) and follow the curving road around the mall. You will see Momentum on your left right next to REI, just east of the highway.

Can I climb at Momentum prior to the competition?

Routesetting for Divisionals will begin on Sunday morning, June 9, 2013 and continue through the start of the competition. The gym will be closed to all competitors during this time. If you wish to train prior to the competition, check out the other great gyms in the area.

Can my family come watch the competition?

The gym will be open to spectators starting at ~8:30 am on Saturday and Sunday. Please remember that every person that steps into our gym must have a liability waiver on file at Momentum. Where can I find a hotel room?

There are some great hotels in Sandy, very close to Momentum, that have been gracious enough to offer discounted rates for competitors. All of the hotels listed below will be offering free shuttle services from the hotel to Momentum, as well as local restaurants and shopping centers.

Momentum Member & Guest Information

Will Walls be Closed Prior to Competition?

Routesetting for Divisionals will begin on Sunday morning, June 9, 2013. This will result in the following wall closures through 6pm on Sunday, June 16th:

Closed: North Lead Wall, South Top Rope Wall, East Top Rope Wall

We appreciate your patience during this process. We invite you to join us for open climbing after the competition on Sunday June 16th from 6pm to 9pm to try out all the routes!

Can I Come to the Gym and Watch the Competition?

The gym will be closed to public climbing Saturday, June 15th and Sunday June 16th (until 6pm). However, spectators are welcome! The gym will be open to spectators starting at ~8:30 am on Saturday and Sunday. Immediately following the competition Sunday, the gym will be open to members and guests from 6pm to 9pm. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, June 17th.
